Stepping through the world of machine learning with MXNet
Tuesday, 15. October 2019 | 10:00 - 13:00
MXNet is an Apache project for machine learning with specific emphasis on deep learning that has been backed by firms such as Amazon, Intel, Baidu, Microsoft, Wolfram Research, and research institutions such as Carnegie Mellon, MIT, the University of Washington. It supports both imperative and symbolic programming, which makes it easier for developers that are used to imperative programming to get started with deep learning. This hands on tutorial will introduce the audience to wield MXNet with grace and dexterity. The audience will work through a series of problems and learn to effectively use the power of this framework. In order to reinforce the ideas introduced during the workshop, the participants will then have the opportunity to solve a particular problem of their choice either in groups or individually. A basic working knowledge of Docker is appreciated and will be used during the workshop to help save time and focus on getting stuff done.
